California: Gmail, one of the world’s most popular email services is used by billions of people worldwide.

The renowned search engine Google has decided to introduce an AI-based tool in Gmail to make the service more efficient for users. This will be possible through Google’s Gemini AI Assistant 1.5 Pro.

Google’s Gemini AI Assistant is already available in Gmail, Docs, Sheets and other services and is currently used for composing emails. It is being updated to Gemini 1.5 Pro which includes many useful new features.

If you don’t have time to read lengthy emails, this AI assistant can be used to summarize them. By clicking the “Summarize” button, you can take a look on the key points of the email. You can also ask various questions on the summary card and search the email content with Gemini.

The AI assistant can also be used to reply to emails. Gemini suggests replies based on previous emails. Currently, this AI assistant is available to Gemini Advanced subscribers which costs $20 per month.

Google has also announced that the Gemini for Workspace side panel will be introduced on a larger scale in June.
